Development has been taken over by Loobinex and a few others. This was because the original developer, mefistotelis, has left the project and does not plan to return.

Apparently the initial release version was 1.30 - thats why all patches update from 1.30 to 1.70, but there are none from 1.0 to 1. The 'Unofficial' edition has been discontinued since version 0.4.8 and merged into the official branch. To clarify a few things: EA released four patches to Dungeon Keeper 2: update to version 1.50 & 1.51, update to version 1.61 and update to version 1.70. For a time, there were two editions: Official and Unofficial. New releases are announced on Keeper Klan.
Ability to play the soundtrack without having the CD inserted. Made the Barracks room work as intended. Workshops will no longer fill up with unusable crates. The latest version is 0.4.8, released on 24 August 2020. dungeon-keeper-2 EDIT: Missed that you were able to install the game. Amongst other things, it supports higher screen resolutions, fixes bugs (including the Level 10 Speed bug), adds new campaigns, and modifies the default creature stats.
